I have finally read that article. I'd seen this post some time ago but I always put reading the article off, and now I managed to do it!
First of all, thank you for sharing. This topic is particularly interesting to me, I've done searches on it and such and it is amazing how well I can relate to the writer's experience.
In a way, a blog is a positive aid to one's writing, but in another it could hammer down any serious attempts at composing a book. This is one of the main reasons I've debated shutting down my blog(s) several times. The final decision has not been made, though.
